University of Scouting is the premier training event of the Allegheny Highlands Council.

It is a full day of Scouting that is made for the whole family!

  • For Scouts BSA aged youth (Age 11-17), we will offer several Merit Badges - many of them unique or difficult to find counselors for. Many of the Merit Badges will be taught by College Professors right in their classrooms or labs!

  • For Cub aged Youth (Grades K-5) We are planning a day camp FULL of fun activities to keep them engaged and having fun. Kids do NOT need to be registered scouts to attend!

  • For Adult Scout Volunteers, Leaders, and Parents, we are offering a mix of Scout driven trainings as well as some fun and unique courses. Want to learn how to cook one pot meals while backpacking? How about a course on where some of the best hiking trails are in Western NY? We're building out an awesome curriculum for you!

Registration will go from 7:45 AM - 8:45 AM. Then we will have an opening ceremony, and three sessions in the morning and three sessions in the afternoon.

Lunch is included in the program. And this isn't just a regular boxed lunch. Participants will have full access to the Fredonia Student Cafeteria - Salad Bar, Pizza, Sandwiches, and many made to order items! All dietary restrictions can be accomodated.

We will be rolling out more info as plans are finalized. Please stay tuned and follow our facebook page for the event as well at
