Memorial Training Endowment
The Allegheny Highlands Council, in partnership with the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation has established an endowment in honor of David Gray, a former Trainer, Scoutmaster, and avid Volunteer who passed away suddenly in 2023. This endowment has been established to fund Scholarships for Scouts to attend Leadership Training Programs such as National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT), NYLE, and other Scout Development Programs.

It is with profound sadness and respect that we remember David Gray, a beacon of inspiration and dedication within the Boy Scouts of America community and a cherished volunteer of the Allegheny Highlands Council.
His sudden passing this past year has left a void that can never truly be filled, but his legacy continues to inspire and light our way.
David's fervor for the Scouting movement was unparalleled. In honor of his undying commitment to the development of our youth, the David Gray Memorial Endowment has been established. This endowment seeks to ensure that financial constraints never stand in the way of any Scout's desire to benefit from training opportunities. Through this fund, David's spirit will continue to touch the lives of countless young individuals, enabling them to partake in the enriching experiences he so passionately advocated for.
